Face Pigmented Lesions

At Paad Wellness + Dermesthetics, we understand the impact that pigmented lesions can have on your confidence and overall well-being. Our state-of-the-art Nordlys device offers a safe and effective solution to treat a variety of benign pigmented lesions, such as solar lentigines, melasma, freckles, café-au-lait macules, Becker’s nevi, and seborrheic keratosis. Using advanced Selective Photothermolysis technology, the Nordlys targets the excess pigment in your skin while preserving the surrounding tissue, providing excellent results with minimal discomfort.

Pigmented Disorders Treated

Nordlys is designed to treat a range of common pigmented lesions, including:

  • Solar Lentigines: Also known as sunspots or age spots, these lesions appear as small, dark patches on the skin due to sun exposure.
  • Melasma: A condition that causes brown to gray-brown patches, typically on the face.
  • Freckles (Ephelides): Small brown spots usually found on the face and arms, often caused by sun exposure.
  • Café-au-Lait Macules: Light brown spots that are often present at birth.
  • Becker’s Nevi: Large, irregularly shaped brown patches, typically on the shoulders, chest, or back.
  • Seborrheic Keratosis: Non-cancerous skin growths that appear as brown, black, or light tan spots.

Aftercare

Post-treatment care is crucial to achieving optimal results and minimizing potential side effects. Here’s what to expect after your Nordlys treatment:

  • Immediate Care: After the procedure, the treated area may be slightly red or irritated. Applying a cold compress or soothing recovery cream can help reduce discomfort.
  • Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least two weeks post-treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30, reapplying as needed throughout the day.
  • Healing Process: Crusting may occur at the treatment site and will naturally fall off within one to two weeks. It’s essential to avoid picking at the area to prevent scarring.
  • Follow-Up: Multiple sessions may be required, with treatment intervals of three to four weeks, allowing time for the skin to recover fully between appointments.

Medlite

The MedLite C6 represents the latest evolution of the original MedLite Laser, introduced nearly two decades ago as a secure, non-invasive solution for enhancing skin aesthetics and addressing common skin-related issues such as skin pigmentations and brown spots. Medlite C6 is a high-quality laser system engineered to utilize PhotoAcoustic energy, offering a gentle and secure approach to treating a wide spectrum of skin concerns.

What Is PhotoAcoustic Technology

The distinguishing feature of the MedLite C6 Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is its utilization of PhotoAcoustic technology. This sets the C6 laser apart from others that rely on heat-based or photo-thermal energy. The high-speed light energy is emitted in a rapid series of nanosecond pulses, causing the C6 laser to gently vibrate and disintegrate targeted molecules deep within the skin. Furthermore, the laser energy encourages the growth of new collagen, effectively replenishing the collagen lost as part of the natural aging process.

Elos Plus SR/SRA for Color Correction

Both SR and SRA applicators are designed for the treatment of benign pigmented and vascular lesions. The focused pigmented or vascular lesions absorb the light energy, elevating the temperature of the target tissue. Subsequently, RF energy is directed to the pre-heated area, reaching a safe and effective temperature for the target. Ultimately, this process leads to a comprehensive enhancement in skin appearance.

What is SR?

  • SRA stands for Skin Rejuvenation Advanced, also known as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) or Photo facial. It is employed to safely eliminate areas of unwanted pigmentation. This application platform enables us to cover larger areas in less time, including hard-to-reach spaces that may not be accessible with other applications.
  • Depending on the specific treatment, noticeable results can often be observed after just one session. However, for optimal outcomes, most patients typically require multiple sessions, usually spaced at least three to four weeks apart.
